Remove any leaves from the stems that will be under the water once the flowers are in your vase or vessel.
Trim the stems just before placing the flowers in water.
Place your flowers in a clean vase or vessel with fresh water. Add floral preservative if it comes with your flowers.
Keep your flowers out of direct sunlight and as cool as possible.
Some flowers are “dirty” and can make the water cloudy and murky. Replace the water or add clean water each day.
